
INRETS General Manager (French Institute for research on transport and safety)
General Manager of INRETS (French Institute for research on transport and safety) Guy Bourgeois has both general and scientific academic degrees. He started his career in the French ministry of Education where he held many different positions. In 1989 Guy Bourgeois moved to the transport sector as he was appointed UTP (Union of Public Transports) General Delegate. He spent 4 years at the UTP followed by 8 years at the RATP (Parisian public transport authority) before being appointed INRETS General Manager for which he started a second mandate in 2006. Guy Bourgeois is also president of ECTRI (European Conference of Transport Research Institutes) and vice-president of MOV’EO (a French competitiveness cluster which draws in part on local relationships to build networks and form genuine ecosystems associating companies, research centers… ).
